Support

Real answers, no ticket system.

Tacet has no accounts and no back-office, so support is just a person reading email. If something's broken, confusing, or missing, write in — every message gets read.

Frequently asked questions

Is my voice recorded or uploaded anywhere?

No. Tacet has no servers, so there's nowhere for it to upload anything to. The microphone is active only while you've actually started a take — never in the background, never at launch. To follow along with your reading, the audio from that take is sent to Apple's (or, on Android, Google's) speech-recognition service to produce a live transcript, exactly the way any app using the system dictation does; Tacet does not send that audio anywhere else and keeps no copy of it, unless you choose to record the take yourself. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.

Is the script-tracking on-device?

The matching step — lining up what you just said against your script to move the reading line — runs entirely on your iPhone, offline. Turning your speech into text in the first place is a separate step handled by Apple's system speech recognizer, which (per the question above) needs a connection while you're recording.

Can I import and export my scripts?

Yes. Import a script from Files, iCloud Drive, or Google Drive, or just paste text directly. When a take is done, share it out through the system share sheet — AirDrop, Files, Messages, Save to Photos — all on-device, no upload, no account needed.

What languages does it support?

Whatever your iPhone's Speech framework offers — 63 recognition languages and dialects on a current iPhone running iOS 26.5 (this number is set by your device and iOS version, not by Tacet). Recognition defaults to your device's language and can be changed per script.

Does Tacet work on iPad?

Yes — Tacet is fully native on iPad, with the reading surface tuned so a script feels the same to read on a 13" iPad as it does on an iPhone.
