Speak at your own pace.
The script keeps up with you, phrase by phrase — not a fixed scroll speed you have to chase and restart against.
For creators who talk to the camera alone
Read the script. Don't sound like you're reading it.
Fixed-speed teleprompters make you serve the tool: match its pace, restart when you stumble, do another take when you pause to think. Tacet listens instead — the script moves at your pace, waits when you pause, and finds your place again when you stumble. No camera operator, no second pair of hands.
This isn't a mockup — it's the same three-state status light Tacet shows you live, in the same colors the app uses on-device (green / amber / green).
The mechanism
Three states, always visible, never hidden from you. Tacet never scrolls ahead on a guess — if it isn't sure where you are, it says so.
The script keeps up with you, phrase by phrase — not a fixed scroll speed you have to chase and restart against.
Stop to breathe or find your words — Tacet freezes and shows you it's waiting. It never scrolls ahead on a guess.
Ad-lib, skip a line, restart a sentence — the moment you're back on script it re-locks in seconds. Lost your place entirely? Tap any word to jump the line there yourself.
For creators
Write it once. Say it smooth every time. Built for solo talking-head creators — Reels, TikTok, Shorts, UGC — recording alone on the same phone that's showing the script.
Bring your script. Paste it, or import it from Files, iCloud Drive, or Google Drive.
Share it your way. A finished take goes out through the system share sheet — AirDrop, Files, Messages, Save to Photos. Nothing passes through our servers, because Tacet doesn't have any.
Read in your language. Tacet offers every recognition language and dialect your iPhone's Speech framework supports — 63 on a current iPhone running iOS 26.5 — and defaults to your device's language.
Full iPad support. Native on iPad, with the same reading experience tuned to the larger screen.
FAQ
Writing and organizing scripts works fully offline. Recording a take needs a connection: your device's speech recognition sends audio to Apple's servers to transcribe it live while you're reading, and the matching that follows your voice against your script runs entirely on your iPhone. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
No. The core teleprompter — including voice-follow — is free, with no watermark, and that isn't changing. Any future extras would be a one-time purchase or an optional convenience add-on, never a paywall on the tracking itself.
Tap any word on the script and the reading line jumps right there — a manual override that's always available alongside the automatic tracking.
No. There's no login and no cloud library — your scripts live only on your device.
